As a sign of how low GOP morale has fallen on this Wednesday morning, Matt Drudge, captain of the Drudge Report, thinks Republicans have lost the House of Representatives for 2014:
While few believe that the field is actually competitive enough for Democrats to retake the House majority, at least two polls have shown that if the 2014 midterms were held today, the Democrats would reclaim the House. There’s precedent for such a flip: the GOP-engineered government shutdown in 1995/1996 is widely credited with costing the party seats in the 1998 midterms, when a minority party historically gains.
