Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) upbraided Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) over his skepticism of the GOP’s impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden on Sunday, even going so far as to call for a primary challenger to him.
On Meet the Press, Graham told NBC’s Kristen Welker that he hasn’t “really been paying much attention” to the House GOP’s investigations into Biden’s involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s business activities.
“If there were a smoking gun, I think we’d be talking about it,” noted Graham, who added that while “the narrative that Hunter Biden presented is falling apart,” he was “not worried about impeaching the president right now.”
At Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest conference in Arizona, Greene railed against Graham.
“How can Lindsey Graham in Washington, D.C. on Meet the Press say that he hasn’t seen a smoking gun of evidence, that he doesn’t think that we produced enough evidence to impeach Joe Biden? Let me ask the American people, do you think that we have produced enough evidence to impeach Joe Biden?” Greene asked the crowd, which roared with approval.
“Well, I think somebody better run for senator in South Carolina,” remarked Greene with a laugh.

Both Greene and Graham are allies of former President Donald Trump who have endorsed his bid to reclaim the Republican nomination in 2024.
Graham was booed at a Trump campaign rally in South Carolina in September, where Trump introduced him by declaring, “I’ll tell you what. When I need help on the left, he’s great. He’s great, and he’s my friend, too. Lindsey Graham, wherever you are. Lindsey?” as the crowd booed.
“Oh no, no!” insisted Trump. “He helps me on the left. We need help sometimes. Republicans shouldn’t need help on the left, but he helps me.”
